How much will my ceremony cost?
This is often one of the first questions and it’s a good one too!

Do you ever do ‘just the legals’?
This has become one of the most popular options these days! Please click on the ‘Ceremonies’ tab and scroll to ‘Celebrating Legal’. I hold these ceremonies in my meeting room in Seaford.
Can we look up info about the NOIM?
Yes! Here is a link to the ‘Births, Deaths and Marriages’ Victoria site which provides a lot of info about the ‘Notice of Intended Marriage’ (NOIM), along with the actual form.
Steps 1., 2. and 3. on that website page are very important.
Do we need a permit for a Beach or Park Ceremony?
Most councils require this via an application form and the costs and requirements range considerably, depending upon which council your desired location is in. To hold a wedding in a park or by Lake Wendouree, or any of the beautiful Botanical Garden precincts within the City of Ballarat, please see the info at the end of this page:

We’ve been married before, is that a problem?
Absolutely no problem at all! Make sure you have the official certificates to confirm you are no longer married so we can record those details on the ‘Notice of Intended Marriage’ (NOIM).
If your divorce is pending when the NOIM is required, that’s fine too – as long as it’s fully finalised before your wedding date, we’ll be right!

Can we personalise our wedding ceremony?
Definitely! The ceremony options offer everything from Personal Vows and Ring Exchanges to fully customised wording for the whole ceremony. ‘Click on the ‘Ceremonies’ tab for more info.
Can we have a themed ceremony?
Very much welcome themed ceremonies 🙂 Such great fun!! Let me know what you’re thinking of; I’ll write it and then let’s run with it!
A very memorable one included an ‘Exchange of Swords’!! Fabulous.
Can our children be part of our ceremony?
Children of all ages love being part of the wedding day and they can join in as much or as little as you like.
Do you only do daytime ceremonies?
No! Morning, afternoon and night time ceremonies 🙂
Before 5am is a little early but if you have an idea, run it past me!! Some locations lend themselves to spectacular sunrise or sunset backdrops!

All of Victoria!!
I’m based in Ballarat but very happy to travel!
Not so long ago, a ceremony was at the gorgeous Gapsted Wines near Victoria’s High Country and then on another occasion, a dramatic windswept cliff overlooking the ocean at Inverloch!
When do you arrive at the ceremony?
A minimum of 30 minutes before the scheduled start.
Never less that this but on some occasions or for some locations, my arrival time could be a lot earlier.
I don’t want other people to know about our plans…
Everything we discuss and plan, remains between the three of us.
I can only discuss aspects of your arrangements with someone else if you give me permission to do so.
Do you speak via a P.A. and can you play music?
I do! I have a wireless microphone which we also use for you to say your Vows. I can also play up to seven music tracks during your ceremony (via my P.A.); often these are for the walk in, signing the register and the end of the ceremony. Click on the ‘Ceremonies’ tab for more info.
Do you have special cards for Naming ceremonies?
Yes! I can provide a certificate along with presentation keepsake cards for Parents, Grandparents, Godparents…
